Iceland

Iceland is an incredibly beautiful place, if you enjoy strange and desolate landscapes. Because it is so close to the Arctic Circle, the amount of daylight varies dramatically depending on the season. The sun sets briefly each night in June, but doesn't get completely dark until it rises again. At the March and September equinoxes, the days and nights are approximately the same length, as in other parts of the world. If you go in December, there are almost 20 hours of darkness. Summer is definitely the best time to go, and even then tourist traffic is still light. The midnight sun is a beautiful sight and definitely not to be missed.

A LITTLE SOMETHING ELSE

Its landscape looks like a work painted by van Gogh, its waterfalls look like bridal veils and its mountains scenes from another world. The first people to settle Iceland were the Vikings from Norway and Denmark.
